Dr. Andrea Vandendool was raised just outside Clinton, ON. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Waterloo in 2004, and her Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2008.
While obtaining her optometry degree, Dr. Vandendool had the opportunity to practice in Tuscaloosa, Alabama at a Veteran's hospital specializing in retinal disease. She also completed internships in ocular disease in San Francisco, California, and at a pediatric based clinic in Melbourne, Australia.
Dr. Vandendool has been living in Barrie since 2010, and enjoys taking in all the city has to offer, including the waterfront festivals and celebrations. In her spare time, Dr. Vandendool enjoys spending time with her growing family, including her husband, young sons, Jonah and Colin, and her golden retriever, Millie. Dr. Vandendool loves being outdoors, golfing, skiing, and playing tennis.
Dr. Vandendool has a passion for pediatric optometry, and would like to remind parents that it is never to early to check your child's eyes.
