Did you know...
That 80% of learning occurs through the eyes? The Canadian Association of Optometry recommends that children receive their first eye exam by the age of 6 months, and their second exam before age three. There have been many studies linking vision to academic performance, including attention problems. Annual eye exams for school age children are highly recommended, and are covered fully under OHIP!
Anne Street Optometry is very excited to participate in the Eye See, Eye Learn program! This initiative was designed by the Ontario Association of Optometrists and is funded by the Ontario Government. It is designed to promote healthy vision for children entering Junior Kindergarten, and as such will provide a free pair of glasses to your child if needed.
We are also excited to introduce our new children's collection! The Nano Vista frame collection is "unbreakable"! Offering a three year unlimited warranty! It is also a "two in one" product, with temples that can be easily removed to accommodate a sports strap. Pop by the office, we would be happy to work with you and your child to find just the right frame!
